Promptia is designed to respect your privacy. This policy describes what data the app uses and where it goes.
Data stored on your device
- Prompt history: Your prompts and conversations are stored locally so you can reopen them. They are not sent to us.
- API keys: If you add a provider that requires an API key (e.g. OpenAI), the key is stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac and is not transmitted to the developer.
Where your text is sent
When you use AI in Promptia, the text you select and your prompts are sent only to the AI provider you configured:
- Ollama: Data stays on your Mac. Nothing is sent to the internet.
- OpenAI (or other API providers): Your selected text and prompts are sent to that provider's API according to their terms and privacy policy. We do not store or log this content on our servers.
We do not collect, store, or sell your text, prompts, or conversations.
No tracking
Promptia does not include analytics, advertising, or third‑party tracking. We do not collect identifiers or usage data from the app.
Your control
You choose which providers to add and can remove them at any time in Settings. Deleting the app removes local data (history and settings) from your Mac.
