Data Collection
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or documents.
FormatShift processes all document conversions entirely on your device. Your files never leave your Mac or iPhone—no cloud uploads, no internet transmission, no data collection.
Information We Don't Collect
FormatShift does not collect:
- Personal information
- Document content
- File names or metadata
- Usage statistics
- Device identifiers
- Location data
- Any other user data
File Access
FormatShift accesses files only when you explicitly select them for conversion. Files are processed in memory and are not stored by the app after conversion completes.
On-Device Processing
- All document conversions are performed entirely on your device
- Your documents never leave your Mac or iPhone
- No internet connection is required for processing
- No data is sent to external servers or third-party services
Local Storage
The application only accesses:
- Documents you explicitly select or drag into the app
- Output files saved to locations you choose
- Application preferences stored locally on your device
Your Rights
Since all processing happens locally on your device:
- You have complete control over your documents and data
- You can delete converted documents at any time
- Uninstalling the app removes all associated data
- No data is stored on external servers that you need to request deletion from
