Overview

Apollo Stream is a native macOS application for playing music through YouTube Music with Discord Rich Presence and Last.fm scrobbling integration.

Data Collection and Usage

Data Collected by the Application

Apollo Stream collects minimal data necessary for the application's functionality:

1. Local Application Settings

  • Theme preferences (light/dark)
  • Selected interface language
  • Discord Rich Presence display settings
  • All data is stored locally on your device in UserDefaults

2. Last.fm Authorization Data

(only when service is connected)

  • Session key for Last.fm API access
  • Last.fm username
  • Last.fm subscription status
  • Data is stored locally on your device

3. Music Listening Information

  • Track name, artist, album
  • Track duration
  • Listening time
  • This information is only transmitted to Last.fm (when connected) for scrobbling

4. Discord Data

(only when Rich Presence is connected)

  • Current track information is transmitted to Discord for status display
  • Authorization occurs through Discord's official OAuth 2.0 protocol

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your Mac in the system's UserDefaults storage. We do not collect, store, or transmit your data to our servers.

Third-Party Data Sharing

Apollo Stream only transmits data to the following services with your explicit consent:

1. Last.fm

— only when scrobbling is connected

  • Information about listened tracks is sent to Last.fm through their official API
  • Used to create listening history in your Last.fm profile

2. Discord

— only when Rich Presence is connected

  • Current track information is transmitted to Discord for display in your status
  • Authorization occurs through Discord's official OAuth 2.0 protocol

3. YouTube Music

  • The application provides access to YouTube Music service
  • All interactions with YouTube Music are subject to Google/YouTube's privacy policy

Security

  • All authorization data is stored locally on your device
  • Discord authorization uses secure OAuth 2.0 with PKCE
  • Last.fm authorization uses secure API keys and session tokens
  • We do not have access to your passwords or access tokens

Your Rights

You can at any time:

  • Disable Last.fm integration through application settings
  • Disable Discord Rich Presence through application settings
  • Delete all saved data by uninstalling the application

Privacy Policy Changes

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy. We will notify you of significant changes through application updates.
