Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
AnSync is designed to be private by default. It connects your Mac and your Android phone directly over your local network. We do not run servers, and your content is never sent to us or to any third party.
Data we collect
None. AnSync does not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
How your data is handled
- All communication happens directly between your devices over your local Wi-Fi network, using the open KDE Connect protocol over an encrypted (TLS) connection.
- Content you sync — notifications, messages, files, clipboard, media information — is processed on your devices only and is not routed through any AnSync server (there is none).
- Pairing keys and the list of trusted devices are stored locally on your Mac.
Permissions
AnSync may ask for the following macOS permissions, used only for the stated features:
- Local Network — to discover and connect to your phone.
- Notifications — to show your phone's notifications on your Mac.
- Accessibility — only if you use the remote input features (your phone controlling the Mac's mouse/keyboard, presenter or drawing tablet).
You can revoke any of these in System Settings at any time.
Third parties
AnSync does not use third-party analytics, advertising or data-sharing SDKs.
Children
AnSync does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
