Privacy Policy — MTPtransfer
Last Updated: March 11, 2026
MTPtransfer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
The app works entirely on your Mac and your connected MTP devices. All file transfers happen directly between your Mac and the device you select. MTPtransfer does not use accounts, analytics, tracking, or cloud services, and it does not send any information to our servers or third parties.
File access and permissions
The app only accesses files and folders that you explicitly choose through the macOS file picker or by connecting an MTP device. You stay in control of what the app can see and work with at all times.
You can revoke file access at any time using macOS system settings (for example, in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Files and Folders or Full Disk Access, depending on your configuration).
No accounts, no tracking
MTPtransfer does not create or require a user account. The app does not include analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or any third‑party tracking libraries. There is no profiling, behavior tracking, or selling of data.
Network usage
MTPtransfer is designed to work fully offline. It does not make background network connections for file transfers or analytics. All transfers occur directly between your Mac and your connected MTP devices over USB.
Data retention
Because MTPtransfer does not collect or upload personal data, there is no remote data to retain or delete. Any files you transfer remain wherever you copy them (on your Mac or on your device), and you can remove them at any time using Finder or your device’s file manager.
Your control
You can disconnect devices, revoke file permissions in macOS, or uninstall the app at any time. Uninstalling MTPtransfer removes the application from your Mac; your files remain wherever you copied them.
